Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate to join our expanding team as a Junior Trainee Chartered Accountant in our Marylebone office. This role involves all elements of financial compliance work as well as advisory and consultancy services, providing a holistic service offering across a portfolio of our exciting clients. You will undertake the ACA/CTA exams to become a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser within three and a half years.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the relationship manager for a portfolio of clients and deliver on all their requirements from compliance to advisory services.
Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and computations, and maintain accounting records.
Handle bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and assist with audit work where required.
Conduct budgeting and cashflow forecasting, payroll and pension management, and company secretarial tasks.
Implement financial processes and internal controls, and provide profit extraction planning and advice.
Prepare self-assessment returns and offer business incorporation and structure advice.
Provide advisory and value-added consultancy services.
Ensure client deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining high standards.
Prioritise workloads and understand clients’ regulatory and strategic requirements to provide proactive, high-quality service.
Maintain a good understanding of current accounting standards and tax principles. Attendance at CPD courses and ongoing personal research and learning are expected.
Understand the commercial principles of our firm.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:
Degree-level qualification from a Top 20 University (or equivalent), with a 2:1 classification or higher.
Strong A-level results (or equivalent), with a minimum of AAB grades.
GCSEs (or equivalent) with at least a grade A in Maths and English.

This tax-focused role involves working across compliance and advisory services for various taxes, including personal tax, trust and estate tax, and corporation tax. You will undertake the ATT/CTA exams to become a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser within three years.

Prepare self-assessment personal tax returns, capital gains tax computations, and Estate and Trust tax returns.
Correspond with HM Revenue & Customs, including drafting letters, arranging appeals, and agreeing on liabilities.
Prepare income and expenditure accounts from both manual and digital records.

We are looking for a Personal Tax Senior Manager to play a leading role within our expanding tax team. This is an opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional to help shape the future of the department, work closely with partners and take ownership of high-value client relationships and complex advisory work.
Responsibilities
Lead a portfolio of private clients and high net worth individuals
Act as a trusted advisor across a wide range of UK tax matters including inheritance tax, domicile, residency and strategic tax planning
Manage complex advisory projects in collaboration with partners
Oversee compliance work and review returns prepared by the wider team
Lead client relationships, including billing and WIP management
Mentor, develop and support junior team members and managers
Help shape processes, policies and the future growth of the tax team
Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to business development activity
Build long-term relationships with clients and intermediaries
What we are looking for
CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
Significant experience within private client tax
Strong technical expertise across both compliance and advisory matters
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience leading teams and developing people
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience using IRIS Personal Tax would be advantageous

Responsibilities

Manage client billing, WIP and workflow across your portfolio

What we are looking for
CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
