More than a round of golf: The Sampson Fielding Golf Day

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The Sampson Fielding Golf Day

On September 23rd, we welcomed clients, partners, friends and family to The Richmond Golf Club for the Sampson Fielding Golf Day. Around 18 fourballs participated in the competition which began with a shotgun start, there was an Introduction to Golf Clinic for around 20 people and then everyone enjoyed drinks and a BBQ on the terrace as the sun set.

Great weather, a fabulous course and a wonderful mix of clients, friends and family made it a day to remember.

A proper community day

What made the day special was the people. Long-standing clients caught up like old friends, new connections were made on the course, and more than a few people discovered they already had contacts in common. With family and friends joining too, it felt less like a work event and more like a proper Sampson Fielding community day. That is exactly the atmosphere we wanted to create.

Golf for everyone

Not everyone who joined us is a regular on the course, and we didn't want anyone to miss out just because they weren't up for the competition. So alongside the main event, we ran an Introduction to Golf clinic for anyone picking up a club for the first time, or the first time in a while.

There was no pressure and no judgement, just a relaxed chance to learn the basics and join in the fun. A big thank you to Steve Burridge, Nick Lloyd and George Haughton at The Richmond Golf Club for their invaluable coaching. Days like this aren't just for the confident golfers; they're for everyone in our community. Who knows, maybe next year our beginners will be taking on the pros!

Congratulations to our winners

Well done to everyone who took home a prize, and great effort all round. And yes, our founder Ben Sampson was in the winning team. We'll put that down to home advantage!

A huge thank you to everyone who made the time to come along and to The Richmond Golf Club for looking after us so well.

See you next year?

There's only one thing left to say: who's in for next year? If you'd like to be kept informed about future events, please get in touch with the team or contact us.
